About the Conference

Historical LibrarySessions will be held on the campus of the University of Valladolid, a lovely, historic city an hour by convenient bullet train from Madrid. Meals and housing accommodation will be available on and off campus, in university-owned residences, as well as in select private hotels at special rates. Our host will be the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, with Dr. Ana Sáez Hidalgo handling arrangements. Conference plans are of course in the making, but will include focused sessions on the 15 th-century manuscripts in the collections of El Escorial and the Royal Library in Madrid translating the Confessio Amantis into (respectively) Castilian and Portuguese. It is anticipated that opportunity will be made available for those with special interest to view them in situ.
